Quality Control
Anacon is committed to a stringent quality
assurance and quality control program to assure the accuracy and
reliability of all data compiled in the laboratory. Anacon's primary
objective is to produce reliable data meeting or exceeding project
requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner. Thorough quality
control is maintained throughout the analytical process until the
final report is issued. Upon completion, each analytical result
is reviewed by qualified personnel prior to final review by the
QA/QC officer. At all times, a strict, objective oversight is maintained
by the rigorous quality control program, which operates independently
of laboratory operations.
Analysis of Quality Control Samples:
Anacon strives to provide its clients with
the highest quality service possible. This commitment is strongly
supported by a quality control program, which includes the analysis
of a number of internal quality control samples. These include method
blanks, laboratory control standards, calibration checks, matrix
spikes, matrix spike duplicates, and other types of quality control
specific to each method.
Reporting and Review of QC Data:
The analyst is responsible for submitting
all analytical results along with any applicable QC and any supporting
raw data to the QA/QC officer for review. The QA/QC officer reviews
the data to confirm that all required QC is complete and within
control. The results are submitted to the Lab Manager for further
approval and data dissemination. This provides a 3-level check for
any QC problems.
Data Package Preparation
To better assist our clients, Anacon offers
a variety of reporting packages, which can be customized to meet
any particular need. After data has been obtained and validated
by the QA/QC Manager and Lab Manager, the data is submitted to the
Data Reporter who prepares the final analytical reports and any
other required constituents of the data package. All analytical
data packages are available on computer diskette. Electronic transfer
and hard copy formats are also available.
Typical data packages consist of analytical
reports and QA/QC data. QA/QC data includes trip blanks, laboratory
control samples, matrix spikes, and matrix spike duplicates. Each
data package is reviewed and signed by the QA/QC Manager and Lab
Manager. The original reports are delivered to the client and a
copy of the data package and any applicable raw data is filed at
Anacon for later reference.
Anacon has three levels of data deliverables
- designated Level I - Level III which differ in the information
which they contain.
Levels of Data Deliverables:
Level I - Analytical results only
Level II - Analytical results, QA/QC reports, COC
Level III - Analytical results, QA/QC reports, COC, all raw data
